Blue Aluminium Oxide Microcrystalline honing stones made in a very special bond are suitable for honing of seamless tubes in M.S. Microstructure comparison chart Difference shows that monocrystalline grains have a blunt edge on the grains after use which have to be dressed to get fresh grain particles whereas MICROCRYSTALLINE grains have a tendency of fracturing during working and so sharp edges are constantly created which effects to continued production without any time loss for dressing along with consistent surface finish.
Grain comparison In the first picture Microcrystalline grains are shown to be of very uniform size with symmetrical shape, compared to the second picture of monocrystalline grains which are not uniform and symmetric.
